SEASONAL LIVING FROM OUR PORCH TO YOURS

winter on the Homestead

Spring has begun to unfold across the farm, and everything feels a little lighter, a little brighter, as though the world is stretching awake again. The fields are softening beneath thawing soil. The trees are budding with quiet determination. Even the breeze carries a different song this time of year.

Inside the homestead the days begin to shift in rhythm. Windows open for fresh air. Seed trays line the counters. Boots gather by the door, dusted in mud instead of snow. The kitchen still hums, but now it smells of lemon, rising dough, and the first greens tucked into simple meals. There is always a jar waiting to be filled, a basket ready to gather what is just beginning.

Spring has a way of drawing us outward. It reminds us that new life often begins unseen, beneath the surface, long before it ever blooms. This is the season of tending. Of preparing soil. Of trusting small beginnings.

Bread still rises on the counter. Candles still flicker in the early evening light. But now there are seedlings reaching toward the window, longer days stretching ahead, and the quiet hope that comes with starting again.

Thank you for visiting our homestead space. May this season bring you fresh beginnings, steady growth, and a renewed love for the slow and beautiful work of becoming.

Welcome to Fallow & Blossom

Warmly, Amanda

Spring time on the homestead

What's in Season

Our homestead is waking beneath the gentle stretch of spring. The garden beds are stirring, the fields are greening, and the air feels alive with promise. This season my heart is leaning toward the light, savoring the quiet return of birdsong and longer days.
